What we do
The mission of the Design Exploration Research Group (DesX) is to develop and advance engineering design methodologies, tools, technologies, and systems that empower engineers to create thoughtful, responsible, and impactful products and systems. DesX seeks to equip engineers with novel approaches for effectively designing, analyzing, prototyping, evaluating, and communicating in ways that reflect engineering’s deep influence on society, the environment, and the economy. DesX also develops specific technologies and systems to extend its impact and to ground, test, demonstrate, and refine the design methods it creates.
